Because everyone is not lucky enough not to become addicts. Some parents end up in jail. Would you expect a parent to tell you to try jail at least once. It's funny how kids make fun of how their parents dressed, the music they listened to, their slangs, etc. but some of them can't wait to share the drugs. Why don't you ask someone with a drug addicted mother/father and see what they say about their "right" to do drugs just like their parents?

If your parent are on drugs then I feel for ya kido...I had to deal with the same thing and ended up just like them...It took me years to get straight and I hate my parents still for not taking care of me...Good luck and say no to drugs!

Probably, in some senerios its cause they dont want us to be like them. Or its cuz now days they pay for it if we get in trouble.ha ha ha. But,i knew some people who let their 14 year old son smoke pot,but would never let their 12 year old daughter smoke in her life

Kids are just that...kids. They are still developing their minds and formulating their views of the world. They have more to lose. Please don't use drugs, including alcohol untill you are an adult. After that, it's game on but use common sense even then.

My mom didnt get mad at me for smoking pot once. She tried it when she was like my age so not all parents get mad. They just get worried.
