They just wish they had one. Don't worry, keep on blowing the doors off those rice burners and mustangs.

You're going to have people bashing your car make/model no matter what. I'm in the Dodge/Chrysler forum a good deal of the time & see the Mopar haters jumping in constantly. Someone asks a serious question about how to replace a light bulb on their '99 Stratus & some moron writes "replace the whole car!". Whether they mean it or not is beside the point...they're getting two points for nothing.
It's not much comfort, but you're not the only one it's happening to. I sometimes start the beginning of an answer with "To the Mopar haters, f*** off! That being said...", then write my answer. Just replace "Mopar" with "BMW". ;-)

Hey, it's just a jealousy thing. Some people save all their money to buy a BMW, and others fritter it away buying lottery tickets hoping to hit it big. Funny, if they had saved the money they spent, they'd probably have the downpayment for that BMW! Enjoy driving an excellent piece of machinery and ignore those tiny-minded car haters. :)

Yep, its a jealousy thing mostly. As long as you're not snooty about what you drive, I got no problems with it!
I have a friend out in San Diego that owns one but also drives a 90-something GMC pickup. He just has his BMW cause its a good car.

In your first question you seemed to be looking for people to complement the vehicle. Of course when you go looking for complements, and people have anonymity, you will not get what you really wanted!
Drive what you want, as long as you can pay for it and enjoy it, that is wonderful. Just do not expect people to OHH and AHH over it!!
