My landloard is boming the house where my apartment is. I'm not sure what products are being used. What are the typical bomb products? I've had issues with ants, earwigs and millipedes. I want to know what I need to do to prepare and make the house safe again after.

Before:
-ask what type and how many bug bombs will be used. There are many different kinds and may use different chemicals.
-put any opened food (pasta, rice, flour) into plastic containers
-factory sealed packages & upopened cans should be ok
-to be safe, put your medications in a plastic ziploc bag, or take them with you
-food in the fridge should be ok
-eat or get rid of perishable fresh food that you leave out of fridge
-remove all pets and their food
-take any valuables with you
-you should open your closet & cabinet doors to allow the vapors to get into every space
-turn off all gas appliances
-turn off electricity or appliances before you vacate apartment, to be safe.

After:
-turn on gas & electric
-you may want to wipe down counter surfaces and the floors, esp if you have pets or small children

FYI: I listed what are probably extreme safety precautions. My parents bomb their vacation home once or twice a year, and we don't do anything except shut down electricity & gas. Never had a problem. The bombs are standard aerosal vapor chemicals (Raid, etc.) available from hardware or grocery stores.

Make sure ALL animals/pets are removed!!!! Even fish, hermit crabs, any thing that has a heartbeat needs to be out.
The bombs will work better if all of your cabinet doors are open. What I usually do is take out all of my dishes and cover them with a sheet on my kitchen table. Any thing that is not covered will need to be washed very well before eating or drinking out of it. I would also sweep and vaccuum well so that you can pick up all the little dead critters.
Hope it helps.
