according to what i read, take 1 year off after a divorce - no dating at all. after that, if you feel you are 'healthy', you should start to look around. no timeline works for everyone though.

I say when your ready. If your ready to get date and/or get married, then by all means go on with your life.Do not sit around, crying over what was and start looking towards the future. My ex husband and I separated. He had been committing adultery anyways but I began a relationship, within a few months, with my best friend(yes,I am a woman and he is a man).My ex would not sign the papers So,the divorce from him, wasn't final until the month I married my husband, almost 3 or so yrs after he and I separated.I wish the best for you and hope you find love, the 2nd time around.I am proof that it is possible.I am happily remarried and KNOW for a fact, that I have found true love.

Everyone is different but after 5 years I think you are more than intitled to move on with your life. However if you have any children from that marriage just remember they need you so keep up with your obligations there

You have to do what's best for you..Regardless of what anyone else thinks, you have to live with your decisions at the end of the day. If you feel like you're ready to be emotionally involved with someone, GO FOR IT!! Five years sounds like a good enough recovery period! to me!! Either way, I wish you the best...

Never. Haven't you ever heard of "until death do us part"? Just because you don't take it seriously doesn't mean that God doesn't. You will be cheating on your wife (and I don't care if she's cheating on you or not). If you want to get to heaven, you better not start seeing other women. Try to work it out with the one wife you have until death.
