all time shaq. three guys on him all night basically beating him up and down the court. Shaq started in an era that had plenty of strong players. if you put him in 60's, 70's, 80's, or early 90's with some experience he has more rings than Jordan easy. Look at him now he is on the down side of his career and he still has made it to the finals 5 out of the last 7 years. Jordan was a joke he always had stacked teams. Kobe is showing how effective he is without shaq. the best player is hands down shaq. this shouldn't even be a question. they even had to make rules to slow him down. right after the laker 3rd championship the NBA came up with the legal zone defense so he can be doubled or tripled more effectively without drawing an illegal defense call . they also included the offensive 3 seconds to keep him out of the key on d. You know you are the best when the league tries to stop you just as hard as the defenders do.

Looking back at the 2006 Finals I think the answer to that question is easy... none other than D Wade! I mean the only reason why the Heat lost the first two games was because Wade had a major sinus infection, but once he was better there was no question who the best player in the NBA is.

For me The Greatest Players Of All Time are Micheal Jordan, Shawn Marion, Steve Nash (2 MVP), LeBron James, and D. Wade.

Ben Wallace, look at the sportsmanship of it will you guys. D.Wade is a whinny baby who cries everytime he's not in the spotlight, and if you look at the season as a whole Kobe's just a ball hog. I will say though that towards the end of the season it looked like Kobe was starting to grow up and play some unselfish ball. Detroit rocks! sorry but they are my team, win or loose.

lebron hasnt done jack....d wade all day baby all day.....u measure geatness by stats and by wins....jordan would not be jordan withought 6 rings...even if he had a monster team with pippen rodman steve and kukoc...lebron aitn done nothing yet to ve considered the best.....d wade proved it in the finals that all by himself he can take over games and an entire series....because cmon evrybody knows darest of the heat wer elike a non factor for most of the series. man in detroit he wus averaged 30 points and 70% shooting.NOBODY has ever done dat....the legends and greats are created in the playoffs when it counts
