We have an amazon tree boa and are thinking of adding another snake to the vivarium. We're looking at adding a red tail boa, but nobody around here seems to have a clue. I'm in Alaska, so that could definately play a part in that. I'm looking at a few sites, but all the sites just talk about atb's. I need to know what else can peacefully co-exist with him.

Do not get another snake. Or if you do, get another cage as well. Snakes are not friends. They like to be alone. And mixing different types of snakes in one cage is not a good idea. Amazon tree boas and red tails each have different requirements. The humidity levels and temps are different for each. .
Not to mention you could wake up and find only one snake in the cage one morning. Don't believe me .. check out this link... Just get him some nice tree branches and decorations and he will be happy.

The best cage mate for an Amazon tree boa would be a nice branch for it to wrap around.

Snakes are solitary creatures that prefer to be by themselves, so do your snakes a favor and keep them seperate. If you plan on putting a red-tailed boa in the cage, plan on coming home one day to just one snake as BCIs are known to be ophiophagous (they eat other snakes). Also, if you find another snake that won't eat your ATB, you will probably stress one or both of them out and will probably experience feeding problems or stress-related illnesses.

Forget the red tail idea. A white rat would make an ideal roomie.

just get another tree boa the opposite sex from the one you have. I don't think you're supose to put to different breeds together, they don't tend to get along.....Good luck!

DO NOT MIX SPECIES OF SNAKE, please. If you want a cage mate, get another amazon. It is as simple as that.
