I have nTelos service and i love it...

Honestly, the best cell phone service comes down to exactly where you will use the phone.

Standing where i'm standing a company called nTelos has the best pricing, service, and features anyone with a budget just can't get enough of.

Unlimited Days, Nights and Weekends (starting at 7pm), including, mobie to mobile, long distance. 49.99 month.

National service with no roaming charges. Basically their nTelos Nation plan covers 96% of the population. meaning if they don't have a tower there..someone does and you can use it for free. Without paying the extra price.

text messaging with ntelos is the best out there 6.99 mo UNLIMITED and that's to any phone and any number. Verizon and others only give unlimited to mobile to mobile users.

Verizon and Cingular are close in pricing and minutes. Yet the still cannot beat the 1000 minutes for only 49.99

Yet Nextel has a great offer now. 500+500 National Minutes that includes free nights and weekends starting at 9pm and unlimited local walkie talkike. 39.99 mo.

UsCellular has the same 1000 for 39.99 but that is only regional use. Nextel is letting you go national.

The choice is up to you, but if you find a company that will give you a FREE phone with a 1 year contract and excellent customer service stick with them..and shop around. definately analyze what your plan before your sign your life away.

T-mobile sucks... but boy they have pretty friendly service :-) :-) don' they?? GEE! It sure is of no use to have friendly service if you cannot make calls without them being dropped. So, I agree, T-Mobile doesn't know networking like a true telecommunications company.

I currently use Verizon in the northeast.

I have also used Cingular, Nextel, Sprint, and AT&T Wireless back when they existed. No provider is perfect, but none has been as good as Verizon. I have only had 1 dropped call with verizon in the past 6 months, and I make aver 1000 minutes in calles each month. Customer service is on par with the rest of the telecommunications industry. It is not the cheeriest customer service, but generally the get the job done. I use the LG VX8300 which has been an exclellent phone with excellent reception.

Best idea is to check out the service maps of your area first, see what kind of coverage is offered, then, find other people with cellphones in your area, find out what their provider is, and ask what kind of coverage they get. You could also ask what kind of customer service they get, but honestly, as you can see by the responses already, you can get two completely different answers from next door neighbors. Still, if you do a little research on the internet, you can get a *general* feel for how good a company is to their customers. Another way to get a general feel is to a) go into their stores and ask questions and b) call up their customer service and ask questions. BTW, customer service may be better quality simply because they're paid on a flat rate, and I know many stores pay their reps on a commission basis (which should so very much be banned, I HATE shopping in commission-based stores).

I have never had trouble with Verizon. I had service on top of Yellowstone National Park. I traveled from CT to Montana, and always had service. T-Mobile is the worst.

I had Sprint and they sucked.
Cingular I kept losing signal
Verizon was good but the customer service sucked
Nextel same as sprint
Hawaiian Telecom was great however you will have to fly to Hawaii to to get the service and it is operated on their time.

I have done some research on this, Cingular has the best nationwide coverage, but I currently have Nextel and it has very good coverage also.
