Under the current system of how votes are counted, a person's vote is more symbolic than anything else. You can say you voted a certain way or that you took advantage of your write to vote, something that some other countries don't provide, but with the electoral college system we have, not much more can be said for the weight of your box-checking.

YES! It matters. Don't listen to those who tell you otherwise. Ignore the tired old "electoral college" excuse, and the ones who tell you all elections are rigged.

Your vote and your voice are the most powerful tools you possess, and can wield.

If you don't either vote or speak up about the things that matter, you leave it to others to speak for you. Look around you; do you want the people you see to make up your mind for you?

No, the Republicans own the supreme court and if a Democrat wins an election the supreme court steals it for them. Voting is a total waste of time, the system is rigged to keep looters in power. Plus the media is all owned by Republicans, the news is all slanted in their favor, its just a Republican propaganda organ. Don't waste your time either watching the news, or voting.

It doesn't matter if you vote, it matters if 3 million people all say "I'm not gonna vote, it doesn't do any good anyway." Kind of a self fulfilling prophecy.

Very very little. I think it does on a local, and maybe even a state level, but a federal level it make no difference what so ever. I mean we saw the will of the people subverted two presidential election ago (I know I know, electoral college, blah blah blah).
Big business and rich people run the country. We get to decide two very similar people who are supposedly in different "parties", but who are beholden to the same people ultimately. Maybe it is for the best and that's why we are a super power, but it is annoying to thinking people who know they have no real say in presidential politics.

l've never voted before. Doesn't matter to me l've never even squinted in the slightest over the results of an election. None of the choices offered appeal to me in any way.
