report anonymously..... there is no point in ruffling feathers... unless you get your kicks from doing so as much as the profaners get their kicks from being profane...

Whom ever this 'thoven8' is that just sent a q saying F* yahoo staff and the c* that report people just sent me a nasty e-mail because I suggested he be more respectful to woman and if he's being reported it's because he's not respecting the guidelines.
When I first started on Y!A I was censored for an advertisement, I was wrong and have not done it again. I understand the guidelines [which i hadn't read then]. There is no place for much of the insulting, vulgar trash I see on this site, kids should be safe to come here for answers. But when they really cross the line, they need reported.
Good for you. I imagine I'll be getting e-mail from thoven8 for awhile.

i agree this is no the website for foul mouthed people, or the occasional pervered response you come across now and then. Don't worry about "ruffling any feathers." The guidelines were put here for a reason, and if someone is not following them, then any problem that arises from that is their own fault, not yours. But if it is causing a problem for you, then i would just report it and not mention it again.... I would do the same thing.

I don't know about reporting the profanity, but I'm sure there's a moderator that eventually looks at these postings. I believe most people do NOT like to see profanity

Yeah for sure you shound NOT. Because you are not their moms and if people wanna cuss then who are you to judge. Are you going to run around the street and shoot people who smoke cigarettes? Are you a cuss nazi?? Your not god. Your not anybody except an anul person who has to control everybody and I dont know why you would even ask this question. Oh let me guess.....you are going to report me because Im Rude. Well, sorry hunny what are they gonna do .....come to my house. I doubt that.

WHen you report someone for abuse of this site, it is totally anonymous to them unless you post an answer and SAY you reported them. Just hit the "report abuse" button, and no one needs to know you did it.
