The pursuit of self indulgence. The world used to be about community, family, and relationships. Now it revolves around me, myself, and I. In the race to see who can get what and how much the fastest, we have let go of the basic compassion and emphathy that directed our moral compass.

Some of the younger generation does not learn it at the homestead. These kids learn from their parents, how to scream morals when life becomes too inconvenient for them. (ie)-Gay marriage agendas, then you better believe that all of sudden the parents are screaming how immoral it is for same sex couples to be married. However, the rest of the time these people do not even think of going to church. These kids learn how to be guileless, manipulative liars from their parents who do not have much in the way of morals, values, or ethics. I know a family where the father is a business man, he has a secretary of course, and he has a wife and two kids. The father always is flapping his gums about monogamy and how important it is regardless of how good the relationship is. This guy pays lip service to morals, values and ethics because he is enjoying his secreatary's company on his leisure time. This is a classic, but it is true. Then we have the mother who does volunteer work for a place; yet, she steals money from the organization. She tells her kids that being honest in everything that you do is really important. She is such a great example of why the younger generation is turning into the lowest common denominator in society. The kids did find out about both of their parents, and both have been in jail since then. BLAME THE PARENTS FOR NOT BEING THE MODEL CITIZENS!! No one wants to point the finger, but perhaps we should go back to the old days when someone was guilty, they were GUILTY!! No IF's, AND's or BUT's about it.

it's a mess. the world is going to hell in a handbasket quicker than the middle east conflict can send us, and it's all because of our lack of values, etc.

We don't know what they mean or stand for in just the same way you didn't when you were our age, and the same way our children won't.

There are no "Good Old Days"

Don't fret it!
