Are religion and politics topics I should stay away from? Is it okay to end my interview with a prayer?

Definitely! Be proud of your Christianity. Show them who you truely are. Ask them to join hands in a prayer to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

"Bless us for this war, and bless us with more Muslim enemies to destroy. Bless us for the oil that allowed us to get to this interview. And thank God for the bounty in which he gives our country!"

Shed the light by teaching them the gospel.

Never say "I'm a people person". religion and or politics are definatley not topics to bring up during an interview, its not something you should address, and the interviewer really should not ask you about either of them. Praying to yourself is ok, but to do it at the end of an inteview, the boss might get the wrong inpression, or feel you may not fit in with a large group of office "sinners".

I wouldn't end an interview with a prayer.

I'd also stay away from religion and politics. Unless you're applying to work at a church... or at the state department.

You'd do well to stick to what the job requirements are, and how you are qualified (and hopefully more qualified than anyone else) to perform them. A lot of extracirricular stuff and you'll just come off as bizarre.

You will never get hired if you speak of religion and/or politics in a job interview and you should say the prayer before you go in.

Another big no-no is talking negative about anyone, especially a past employer. Keep it positive. Don't just tell them you're a hard worker and dependable, give examples. After you leave is when you give thanks. And after you get the job you tithe. And after you tithe you get blessed.

These are both private matters and have no place in interview. How would you feel if he/she pulled out a prayer rug and started bowing to the east?

It's probably okay to talk about religion if you're interviewing as a church secretary. :-)
