been there! i know exactly what you mean, when i first started to work out i weight 123 and basically wanted to tone up my arms, legs, and have a tighter stomach.
WHAT MOTIVATED ME, was knowing that i can be more energized by working out, and im an active open minded person.. and also knowing that if so many ppl can do it i can too. i was always positive about it and kinda drag myself to go ..when i felt like making excuses! i've been working out for two yrs last month and damnn, i feel so much better now than before. plus your healthier. Another thing that motivated me was knowing that i would look even better in my clothes. im all into shopping and looking good! DONT GIVE UP, u can do It!! also buy magazines (fitness for women). .. you'll love it and it will motivate you! good luck!

maybe the gym is not for you! You should try something outdoors or some kind of sport that takes a lot of effort but that you find entertaining rather than being a chore. If you get down on the whole working out thing, then you simply won't stick to it!

Get a picture of the way you want to look. Look at it when you feel like you don't want to work out. Seeing what you want will make you want to work hard to get it.

think of the positive sides. if you can make excuses you can thing of the positive side. what i do is try to have something to entertain me. i watch music on MTV and VH1. so then i concentrate on that and i don't think of being tired.

Think of how you'll feel afterwords, not during. Concentrate on the benefits you hope to achieve.

always try to remember why you're doing it. you're doing it for yourself and no one else and that's the most important and endearing thing.

good luck with your exercise sweetie!
