Let's see he cussed, groped a Prime Minister, led us into a war and destroyed our Global reputation. No, we don't all feel that way, some of us despise him.

What is the so-called problem, the phrase "yo Blair" ??
This typical American usage is informal and friendly. I see nothing wrong with that phrase at all if it is used among friends. Perhaps the problem is that some Brits are upset that Blair and Bush are friends, eh?
If the majority of Brits want Blair to be opposed to Bush, and he fails to follow their preferences, why not vote Blair out? Seems to me the majority of the elected politicians in the UK keeps voting for Blair policies, eh?

It is not they way he spoke that Americans are proud of. I find it hard to believe that and American would be proud of what he has done in the last 6 years. I dislike Bush as much as anyone, but I think that candid conversation did show something. It showed that Blair and Bush are both real people. They talk like real people and when they are not carefully mulling over every word they actually have similar views of most people in their nations.
It is rare to get a glimpse of Bush when everything is not being controlled in every aspect. And in a case like this he actually comes of better, in my mind, then his usually rhetoric he spews.

I like our president. It's ironic to look at the inarticulate way his critics attack his intelligence. That said, I personally don't call my friends by their last names and I particularly dislike the word "yo". My friends and I use first names. I don't know, maybe an archaic prohibition, but I was always taught that using last names without a title was rude. Still, I wouldn't criticize the president for this, it's just a personal preference.
P.S. I think the so called cursing incident was laughable. When I heard he had said a big no no while the mic was on I thought he must have said "I hope Israel blasts Iran to f'ing hell".
He didn't say anything wrong. Hell bullshit is a perfectly good and fitting description of many of the answers you've gotten on this question

You mean cursing, as well as the "yo Blair" incident? It's a little embarrassing. I curse, I suppose most people do, but I don't when I'm at an important meeting, that's for sure! He is a casual president, that's his style, but I think he needs to behave more professionally when he's surrounded by world leaders trying to make important decisions.

well lets think of it this way... in the 2000 election, gore had the popular vote, which means more people supported him than bush...
then theres bush's astonishing (well not surprising) approval ratings. not to say the democrats are any good either. the guy cant make a clean sppech if his life depended on it. neither can dan quayle, or ted williams. Im a proud american, and Im proud to say that Bush is a complete n00b.

What is the problem with the way that they spoke? They were having a closed conversation between them. I bet if somebody taped your conversations with your friends you wouldn't come off looking so good also. The best thing about it was it is exactly what his foreign policy is and is also stated by the Whitehouse. Now if he said those GDamn Muslim pigs or something along those lines it would be a totally different story. I think that you will find that most who oppose his statements are generally opposed of him any way.

I feel the same way. Not only do I agree with what he said, I think it's good that he is so friendly with Blair that he talks to him as a friend.
