My husband wants me to let him treat me like a queen, and wait on me hand and foot and GIVE HIM ORDERS. I guess because of my childhood or whatever I have a real difficult time accepting anyone doing things for me because I've pretty much done for myself all my life. I know this is going to sound crazy to most women, and they think it would be simple to do, but for me it really is EASIER SAID then DOING.

Be honest with him about how you feel. It's going to take effort on your part, but it's also going to take understanding on his part. The more he pushes, the more aversive you might be to this. Don't give him orders, make suggestions. "Oh, well, I don't think I'll be able to get all this done, could you help with the dishes?" etc etc
Make a compromise you feel comfortable with. And it's not "controlling," don't look at it that way. It's simply becoming less submissive.

Yeah, that is weird. I don't even know if it's healthy. I mean he may have the best intentions and just want to make you happy, but in effect what he's asking for is to have you surrender some of your freedom to him. Not to say that that's always a bad thing, but it makes it easier to get sucked in more and more. It won't always lead to total dependence, but you just might not be as happy.

If you want to indulge him, just give him a few little things that put up a big show. I can't think of any examples.

It is hard to change your genuine personality, i agree.

Best bet here is to role play with your husband. Which means, you dress up for the part and then let him have it for an hour or two, then return to your normal self.

That will help him get gratification that he needs and then he'll shut up for a while.

This will give you a chance to show him what it would be like!!!

You can ease yourself into asking for help, but by no means does that mean that you need to turn into some controlling, bossy, person, believe me your husband would soon get tired of that!

You have to be a dog out here like our President. Remember, God created women to help us men. When you put your foot down, leave it down or they'll walk all over you.
