I think it is hilarious that youngsters are repulsed at the idea of older people having sex! And even moreso that they think the sexual desire is gone!

Okay, I am 50, not 70, and my hubby is 60, not 80; but our sex life is alive and well and wonderful, and I don't see it ending ... ever! We both have some health issues, but we work around them. We love spending time together and being companions, but we also like to be intimate.

I am active in a chatroom with a lot of older woman like myself, many of them in their 60's and 70's, and we frequently talk about sex, love, and initmacy, and let me assure you that it ends when you are dead!!

Yes they do. Nurses who work in nursing homes have to write care for married couples in their nursing care plans. I knew a nurse who worked in a nursing home, and she said that once a week, a couple that were in the nursing home were given private time together so that they could make love. I don't know why they didn't already share a room in the nursing home, but they didn't. So, I'm sure there are many 75 and 80 year olds who are still healthy, strong and living on their own who can still make love. I also know an 80 year old man who fathered a child. So many can have sex until they die.

Used to be that couples in their 60's would stop making love because the husband couldn't get it up anymore.

thanx to viagra, they can keep doing it until they both want to stop. Don't forget though, once a woman goes through having no more periods, she will be "dry" which means sex won't be as pleasurable for her. She will deny sex when she feels pain.

according to picara, sex stops at 26 because the men are all used up.

Many old people do not have sex b/c their health is real bad - there is a diabetes/pre-diabetes epidemic in the USA caused by fatness and too much sugar, rice, bread, pasta, etc.

This will effect the circulation in the penis and the man from getting hard and otherwise, preventing most couples from doing it.

i do not know of any couples at that age that have sexual intercourse.. i think they just try to enjoy each others company...and they have many health problems and different things on their mind at that age.. but one of my sisters worked in a nursing home and their was a older man there that had a lot of sex on his mind.. i think he would of been harmless but it was still in his mind anyway..

Why shouldn't they still have sex? You are not dead until you are lying in a coffin stiff as a rock.
