Since it is an election year,
and the Republicans are looking vulnerable, do you think the october suprise before elections
will be US troops commited to a new military engament?

I.e what some people said about not changing horses in war time during the 2004 election.

Are we headed to another conflict, that was planned for political reasons among other?

I think that could be so as this administration has no conscience. Hasn't something sensational always happened when they want to divert attention away from their shortcomings?

Not unless Syria or Iran start moving tanks. Probably not even then. Israel can handle itself.

Funny how you see the bad guys within our own borders. If you want a conspiracy, why not the one that seems obvious?

I figure Iran got all this mess stirred up to divert attention away from the nuclear issue. Doesn't it seem odd that both Hezbollah and Hamas both attacked, killed and captured Israelis in the same week or so? All the rockets are paid for by Iran and shipped in by Syria. Why are the Republicans your bad guys in this? There are not enough obvious bad guys to satisfy you?

Not sure.. america with billions of dollars in national debt (basically all americans are sitting on a HUGE foreign loan), is headed for bankrupcy.. I'm not sure the US can afford fighting wars, unless they can cash in on the national treasures of those countries they try to economically and politically colonize soon!

It doesn't matter if the Republican or the Democrats win in any election, beyond the diplomatic process we will not get involved in Lebanon. Israel can take care of herself and has proved it.

Korea or Iran are more likely probabilities.

Won't happen. Too many people are turning on Bush and the repubs over the current war to engage in another...besides, Isreal can handle itself.

I'm sure the CIA has something to do with it. What are Lebanon's other natural resources, besides oil? No matter what the people think, we;ll probably be there soon. To bring "democracy," of course.
