I have asked a number of questions and have had a number of jerks not follow the rules I set for the questions IE only giving them certain choices and asking certain people to pass the question etc. Why do they ignore an askers rules he or she sets for their questions? Are they just gaming for points or just wanting to be jerks? I have seen this not only on my question but other question where people have set rules to their questions.

It's hard to get a serious answer on here sometimes. Seems like no one reads the whole question. Probably just want the 2 points or they think they are being funny, but they come off looking like a jerk.

Maybe for both the reasons you gave and who knows what else.
Things have been in an up roar here for quite a while now and I think it is rubbing off on everyone to a certain extent.

gaming or jerks that would be my first 2 thoughts as well. Don't feel alone it happens to all of us. You can bet if you specifically set rules some one will go out of their way to break them.

Some people want the points, others are trying to be rude. I know how you feel! I've asked questions and asked for the answers to be polite and educated, but all I get are lame, rude answers that don't even match the question! I feel for you!!

Most people that posts & answers doesn't even know what a real question. Mostly they are uneducated they don't care at all. I see more statements than real questions & answers!
