I drove up to the window at McDonald's and the cashier asked me if I had cooked dinner already. (I am a frequent customer), and I told her yes, and that the McChicken meal was for some-one else. I usually have my daughters with me, who order an item before dinner, because we eat later in the evening. But, I did not want to carry on a long "small talk" conversation at the drive-thru. (No reason seems like a good reason to lie -- but, there it is).

The very last lie that I told was to my Father in law. I told him that my brother had bought me the new rug in the living room. I did this cuz my inlaws think I spend money like a banshee. And I do, but it's none of their business. Actually he ended up asking my husband and got the truth. Eep. Haven't seen him since (Father in law, not husband)

"I know where I'm going, Mom. I looked it up online. Let me go alone." I was going to the Doubletree Lloyd Center ballroom and only knew it was NEAR the Lloyd Center mall... I asked a bunch of people that looked like they were going where I was and I eventually found the place. I LOVE people... they're so sweet. (sometimes)

Saying I'm fine - when my better half phoned and asked me.. was being brave cos he out networking - trying to get new client and didn't want to worry him.. actually feeling a bit sad.. so poured glass of wine and came on here

I told my boss I couldnt work overtime as my husband was away on business and I had no one to look after my three year old.
I just couldnt be arsed to work extra today.
