sometimes I feel it for weeks at a time.... then it can bemonths before I feel it again... I guess it depends on whether I am getting what I planned to get or just simply existing..

Just long enough for something or someone, maybe a situation in life, to remind you that nothing is ever easy. It takes effort to find a measure of happiness or contentment in anything. Mostly it is how you deal with what ever it is that shakes your world. You can deal with it or get immobilized by it. Sometimes it takes a few minutes to regroup and rethink. Sometimes you just have to cry. Life is all about change, remember that saying, "You have to roll with the punches?" "Life is what you make it." I think when ever you have a still moment doing what ever you like, breathing fresh air, feeling the sun, that is when you have it together the most. Just you and an inner quiet and that's enough.

I feel like I have it together at least 80% of the time. Your question's not vague, my dear. Some folks have it all together like a raggedy bowl of yock(which is hardly ever and it's messy!)or either they pretend that things are cool and they're all to pieces.

I don't usually feel like I have it all together. There are days though, when I accomplish something, something that I've been working towards in my "life plan"....when it feels like all is right in the world for just a second. I feel like I can finally see the end result coming into reach. It's a good feeling, and I cherish it when it comes over me. :-D

Feeling you have it all together is a result of confusion or substance abuse...just getting through life without increasing the sum of pain for others is something to admire. If your focus is on others then you are together (or as close to together as a non-god can be.
