Can I Prevent Warts?
There is no way to prevent warts, but it's always a good idea to wash your skin regularly and well. If you cut or scratch your skin, be sure to use soap and water because open wounds are more susceptible to warts and other infections.
It's also a good idea to wear waterproof sandals or flip-flops in public showers, locker rooms, and around public pools (this can help protect against other infections, like athlete's foot, too). If you do have warts, don't rub, scratch, or pick at them or you may spread the virus to another part of your body or cause the wart to become infected.

Marigolds. Using a tincture of marigolds applied to the wart a few itmes a day is meant to work miricles. You can find lots of information about this from herbal practitioners.
But the best method for getting rid of them is to freeze them off. This uses no drugs, just very cold nitrogen which evaporates and leaves no trace on your body. Veruccas are otherwise known as plantar warts.
It really depends which one you prefer. Look up the mirgold treatment anyway ( you might find a lot of it cetres on veruccas but they are caused by the same virus just on a different part of the body)

Get them frozen by the doctor. It is painless, unless you have big warts, them they have to hold the freezer thing on for a long time and get it deep down...but it works pretty well because it either kills the skin cells in that area, or makes the immune system aware of them.
Don't use the banana peel technique, it gets really messy and is not practical!
Good luck getting rid of your warts.

I believe that putting a banana peel on a planters wart is supposed to get rid of, well, a planters wart. I'm not sure if this same thing would work for a 'common' wart or for a person who does not like bananas. :)

I had it on my knees and a few on my thighs and calves, but now its a day before I'm going to florida and most have scarred. Im still trying to figure out how to get rid of these scars faster though because its going to be so embarrassing in florida with all the read and black marks on my legs D: At first I tried zymaderm. It seemed to help keep them contained and didn't spread, but it didn't make them go away. I tried it for a month and nothing. Then i tried apple cider vinegar about a week ago and now, they're almost gone. For the past two weeks, right after I shower, I dab on the ACV and water mix (buy the Acv then mix a little in with water) with a Qtip right on the bump, then i dab on some clove oil to kill the bacteria(my mom is a esthetician so she made a mix of it for me). The i put some pure tea tree oil on a bandaid and put it over the bump. I leave that on over night then take it off in the morning. After they started to scar i started putting Mederma scar cream on the ones that were scarring. It helps but its going to take a while. My skin is VERY sensitive so i had to use latex free bandaids, and put lotion on the areas without bumps to keep my skin healthy. I also did this treatment in the winter so when i went to school I could cover it up with pants. I am also in gymnastics but i have been off for a few weeks so i have been able to keep it hidden. But now that i am going to be in shorts tomorrow, I am bringing makeup to cover the bad ones up a little. To keep them from spreading to my family and the rest of my body, I used a different hand towel than them, clean my sheets often, didn't reuse my shower towels more than once, washed my blankets, didn't use a loofa, didn't shave, DO NOT SCRATCH OR ITCH OR PICK AT THE BUMPS THEY WILL ONLY GET WORSE AND TAKE LONGER TO HEAL, and i tried not to touch my face too much. well thats about all i can give you. hope it helps! by the way, I'm 14, incase you wanted to know.

Buying the pads at a pharmacy works. But it depends on how big they are i think. They say that duct tape works. I've gotten some frozen off. It works. But it hurts really bad!!!

Yikes! Don't listen to most of those crazy people! They make little band-aid type thingys (I think they're even usually in the band-aid section of the pharmacy). They sell that Freeze stuff there too - it's really expensive but Ihear it works too.
