I am getting so frustrated with it and now I am being put on medication to help control it. Please don't tell me diet and exercise because I DO everything I am supposed to and it is still not enough. Is there anyone out there who is actually going through this too?

I had gestational diabetes but I was able to control it through my diet. I saw the nutritionist at the hospital and we decided on 4 servings of carbs with each meal (15g=serving) and 2 snacks with 2 serv. carbs in each snack. My neighbor on the other hand had to take insulin shots during her pregnancy.
While my readings always came out right , the baby still weighed 9lbs which would mean she was affected by the diabetes and she had to go to the NICU for low blood sugar. If a baby born to a diabetic mother can not maintain its sugar then it can slip into a coma and have permanent brain or kidney damage. So it is nothing to play around with. Hope everything works out for you . Just stick to the diet and make sure you test your blood often and take whatever meds they put you on.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

I didn't have gestational diabetes, and I am sorry to hear that you are but I may be of some help on the subject.

Gestational diabetes happens because your insulin is lower because your baby is using it (in simplest terms)

Sometimes this can be controlled by diet and exercise, but sometimes it can not. Your body may need more insulin instead no matter how you watch your diet.

But talk to your doctor about your concerns, and ask them to explain to you what's going on with YOUR body because everyone is different.

Good luck and take care of yourself.

I didn't, but a very good friend of mine did. Just like diabetes and high cholesterol and hypertension in a "normal" person, sometimes it's not enough to alter your diet. Just remember if you do have to take medication it's what's best for you and the baby.

I did have issues with my blood pressure when I was pregnant with baby #3. I didn't have to take meds, but I did have to restrict my activity and that sucked because I never had a problem with the other two kids. Don't worry, it will be over sooner than you think!! :-)

Well Gestational diabetes is fairly common believe it or not, and you may find someone on here. Alot of the doctors find though that it will come back AS diabetes in the later years, so you'll have to be careful as you get older because you may likely get it..I find that very disturbing. But Good luck finding someone!

It's not gestational, but my husband has diabetes and like you he has done everything doctors suggested and it still gets worse. By the grace of god yours will go away when you give birth.

This is something that happens to many pregnant mothers. DO NOT take this lightly. Diabetes is a serious illness. Do what your doctors tell you, take your medicine, for your sake AND the baby's! PLEASE.

Most likely this will subside after the baby is born.

MY FRIEND HAD DIABETES DURING BOTH OF HER PREGNANCY. SHE HAD NO SYMPTOMS AFTER THE PREGNANCIES. SHE HAD TO EAT RIGHT AND EXCERCISE RIGHT. IT WILL GET BETTER. GOOD LUCK.
