We have 6 pregnant ladies at my office & at least 3 of them spotted at some time during their first trimester. It can be pretty common, but always check with your doctor to be on the safe side....Better safe than sorry.

The best advice I can give you is to go back to the doctor as soon as possible. If the bleeding is getting heavier, go to the emergency room. Good luck, dear.

I had spotting early in this pregnancy. It wasnt a lot but enough that it scared me. i also had cramping. I called my dr asap and they did some hcg testing on me and sent me for a sonogram right away. Call the dr to see what's normal and what's not.

If it's very light bleeding then no. Women have been known to menstruate up to 5 months while pregnant. But if it becomes heavy or continues or clotting then I would seek my doctors advice. As long as the baby and you are checking up okay at your visits then don't worry.

Go see your doctor for the best answer, this is NOT a place for medical opinions.
