hexanoi acid + 2-propanol -> ? + ?
I have no idea where to begin on this one so if someone could me that would be great

Let's see, from what I remember from o-chem, start by drawing out all the structures including the electrons. Now the electrons from the oxygen of the 2-propanol should attack the carbon double bonded to the O, pushing the 2 electrons from one of the double bonds to that oxygen. Then push the 2 electrons back to the double bond and break the bond between the C and the OH, OH will leave as water and do the nomenclature for the remaining structure, sorry I can't remember nomenclature at the moment.

Sorry hard explain w/o drawing it out! Basically substitute the OH group on the hexnoic acid with the 2-propanol minus the H. I think the nomenclature for the remaining strucutre matches the answer above me.
