So, in Spider Man 3, is spiderman becoming venom (dark one) or Eddie Brock is venom with black costume?

spiderman had the black costume (which is actually an alien symbiote) first. But when he rejected the symbiote, the symbiote found eddie brock, who agreed to become the host for the symbiote. When Brock accepted the symbiote, they became Venom.

Spidey Storyline: Spiderman get's the black symbiote costume off a space shuttle mission (or the secret wars in the comics) and uses it for a long time, until he realizes the suit is making him more like a villain. after he disposes of the suit, via church bell, eddie brock had gone to the church to pray (following the comic) and the suit drips down onto him, which he uses, and the suit feeds off his anger, transforming him into venom. Which is also the reason Venom can avoid the spider sense, because the suit attached to Peter first.
