Why don't you ever see a bumper cars, or a wave swinger, or a swinging inverter ship in a city park? Cmon, what's up with that? Are carousels special in a certain kind of way, or is it just that carousels are nice, slow rides that everyone can ride?

most parks dont have carousels. the park across my highway doesnt, and the other ones in the neighborhoods dont. but they put carousels there for lttle kids to enjoy themselves. and take a ride.

Because kids like carousels, that and I think it's kinda tradition now.

I think it is because everyone can enjoy them. There is a definite nostalga factor for many people... It is something that young and old can enjoy together, and they're just a lot of fun!

well, it's for Little kids. also, when you feel full, then you could ride that to make it go down.
