1.) I suggest you look up the "top 100 sites" on the Internet with google and have a quick browse. I find good siights that way that are interesting.
2.) There are a few good movie sites I like to use to read about films:

Another good site is bored.com, they've got hundreds of different links to go to and to do stuff to pass the time
