He's turning 11 next month and already has a GameBoy, but is begging me for a DS. He definitely wants a hand-held system. Is there anything out there (or coming out soon) that I should look at instead? If DS is good, what accessories should I get for it - it has a wireless component, right?

Hey, the DS is the best for children, since it doesnt have as many violent games (except for Resident Evil: Deadly Silence) and is a little simpler to use than the PSP. The DS I think would be perfect for him.

handheld martket is done for awhile now. psp and ds are it for right now. I'd suggest a psp since you can do more with it than just play games. but if he's begging for a ds, then get him a ds.

I think its one of the best. PSP is ok but get him what he wants if you think the cost is ok.

As for acessories maybe an Ac adapter.
