I tracked down an old friend/boyfriend (he was my boyfriend when we were 12 and we were friends for a number of years after) with some help. He has informed me that shortly after I moved away that he came looking for me in my state. Actually lived here and searched for me for 6 months. Has been back once or twice since. Had been looking for me the weekend before I contacted him. What's your angle on this? Oh........since then we have both married and had children. I want everyone's insight on this one.

This was totally innocent on my part on tracking him down. We were very good friends before and he was always there when I needed him. I wasn't looking for this guy because my marriage was bad or I was unhappy. If that was the case I would have been looking for him during the first seven years of my marriage. My husband is aware of me tracking him down and is cool with it. I'm not totally sure that his wife is aware but I think she is.

Don't stoke up an old flame if you've got home fires burning. It just doesn't sound like a good idea. You could start out very innocently and wind up hurting both your families.

Let the past be in the past unless both of you are unhappily married. However, don't trade your current rocky relationship for one that MIGHT end up the same or worst.

As long as both of you are married, there is only one aswer. You can't be more than just friends.

I don't know what his or your intentions are, but please don't screw up either of your marriages, think about the kids.
