Get the DS lite. It is smaller, lighter, and has a MUCH better screen! The old one is barely even worth it!

I have both. I like the original. The original has more colors, and a free game with the DS. I don't see why they needed a new version, really. Besides, it's cheaper. The lite is a rip-off.

I recommend the fat (phat) DS. You can get a bundled package with a complete free game (not a demo). The game varies, just check the package. Also, the phat DS has better color selection and, honestly, there is nothing bad about the original DS. Nintendo didn't actually need to remake it, but they wanted to keep the brand alive. But anywho, my advice is to buy the original DS.

get a ds lite because i had the same decsion, and i picked the ds lite. it is WAY better than the fat one

go for the lite, after all the difference in the prices isn't that much rite? but if not, then buy the original, i heard that the lite is a rip off, but it's your call

Save up for the wii, it will be about 250., but should be worth it. It will be out before the end of the year.
