I have an upcoming court date for a bogus speeding ticket. The officer was traveling opposite of myself and turned around, pulled me over and gave me a ticket. On the ticket he left the actual speed blank but stated the posted limit was 35. Second, he put i was traveling west when i was actually going east, thirdly in the east bound lane (the way i was going) there is NO speed limit signs. Seeing as there is no posted limit and he left my actual speed blank, would my argument hold up in court. Also have photos of the entire street...would this help?

Definitely. Sounds like you have a good case because it's well documented. Remember to stick to the facts in front of the judge. Good luck!!

Basically, what you are really saying to the judge is that, if the cop was unable to pay attention to these other details (posted speed limit et al), the cop could not accurately pay attention to your speed.

I got myself out of a "Failure to slow down at a yield sign at a right turn" ticket on my motorcycle because the cop put the posted speed limit as 30 when it was 35. Also, he said he clocked me going at 40 mph on a right hand turn. I told the judge that even if I were wearing plastic kneepads and leaned over as far as my bike would allow, that I wouldn't possibly be able to turn a corner at 40 mph. The motorcycle cops in attendance for other cases giggled and nodded. Judge let me go.

This certainly relies upon.. My final cost ticket some years in the past became a combination cost ticket the place I have been given nailed for 3 or 4 distinctive offenses totaling 350 funds. I forgot with reference to the cost ticket until the evening in the previous courtroom and had to circulate. The choose became in a solid temper, and that i paid one hundred twenty finished funds and had some offenses dropped. So in case you have the time, and the courtroom isn't a procedures away, i'd advise it. be sure to plead accountable, opposite to what this different fool became asserting.

There must be, by law, a posted speed limit sign. Go back in the opposite direction from where you were coming from, until you see a posted bspeed limit sign. That is the POSTED SPEED LIMIT for the area you were in. GOOD LUCK.

I would attempt for a prayer for judgement, if this is your first speeding ticket, you might want to get an attorney unless the ticket get's dismissed, also when you go to the court house , try to get a hold of a district attorney and explain and show the ticket to him/her.. Good Luck

The judge will tell you "ignorance of the law is not a defense".
