Windows, but not just because of the OS but because it runs on a PC. I hate proprietary components and not being able to build my own computer from scratch. I will never own a Mac (even if they are capable of flying me to the moon) although I have had to work on plenty of them at work. If a PC has a problem with a CD drive we can go anywhere in the world and replace it (and cheaply), if a Mac loses a CD drive (on an older model especially), good luck finding a part and you better be ready to pay through the nose.

I'm a software developer and as such I prefer Windows. Hardware is much cheaper, software is cheaper and there's much more available of it.
And because so many people use it, the market for my products is much, much bigger.
And if the roles were reversed, Apple would be just as evil as Microsoft is now.

Both because macs don't have many viruses to get and windows have more games to play and more options...

Windows. Even though Bill Gates is evil and rules the world, I grew up learning Windows, and much more is compatible with it.

Windows on the desktop, Linux on servers. I work with Bloomberg and eViews a lot. Neither runs on MacOS.
