At a beach or poolside? Definitely need to pick up a copy of R. Sabatini's classic swashbuckler, "Captain Blood".

Land of A Thousand Hills. It's a wonderful autobiography about an American woman who lived in Rwanda many years ago. The best book I read last year.

The most inspiring books I have ever read were the series by Dave Pelzer... It starts with A Child Called It and then moves to A Man Named Dave... These are about his struggle through the most horrific child abuse case... and how he became the strong man he is today. I think anyone should read it, so that maybe we can make everyone aware of child abuse and neglect. It teaches people to be able to recognize where it is... who knows maybe it is your neighbor.

Chicken Soup Books! They are a bunch of short inspirational stories...that you can read some and then go swimming and not miss anything!
