I just moved away from London and I miss it like crazy. You have to think about it. It is normally more wages to work in London and the social life is potentially fantastic. I think it would be a great move....
Good luck!!!

Absolutely go for it. Social life is fantastic in London, there are fantastic things to do and see by yourself or with other people. The parks in London are fantastic and you get such a wide variety of people that you encounter something new fairly frequently.
You do have to bear in mind that not all people are that pleasant but then again most are often given a bad press. If you are within walking distance of a tube station then transportation is fantastic via the rail and coach networks London has. This is a major plus point, even if you don't like London but need to work there then getting away is the easiest thing.
Try it, it will be a shock I guarentee if you are a country dweller all your life. If you have lived in other cities or large towns then it is still different.
London is a fabulous city, give it a go. I'm sure no would force you to stay if you didn't want to. Alternatively commute for a bit to see what you think.
By the way the "wagganoodles" probably refers to the restaurant chain Waggamama's. They do noodles mostly of usually excellent quality. It does remind me that food is usually good in London and oriental is plentiful!
Be aware that even if you have a pay rise it probably will not go as far as you think it might. London can be expensive, but you get to know cheaper places the longer you know the area

Keep having your Scotch egg and pint. Watch the others throw their money away on fancy food that tastes horrible.
Save your money and have a great time.

Go for it !! Better to regret something you HAVE done rather than to regret NOT doing it at all. You can always give it 6 months to see how things go.

No, but, my sis-in -law is from there, Headington, Oxford.
She says there is little sun, and the food sucks, but you get free healthcare..
Good luck whatever you decide.
