I was with someone who was changing someone's car oil and he dropped the oil filter in the oil pan and it splashed all over me and stained my brand new white clothes. Please help me get it out.

Well, first of all, don't smear it all around or you'll REALLY have a mess!. Blot all of the excess out. Do you have any GOJO? You know, that orange pumace soap that mechanics use? If not, you can buy some at Walmart for like $4 - it's back in Automotive. I'd treat the area with a spot of that. Now, how big is the oil on your clothes? Put enough on the spot to cover the spot but still see the shirt through it (know what I mean? not a 1 inch layer of GOJO, just enough to have it workable). Next, take an old toothbrush and a bit of water and agitate the area. Start at the outer edge and move into the center of the spot otherwise it will bleed out and make a bigger mark on your clothes. GOJO is not a foamy soap, so when you are finished agitating it, you can through your clothes in the washer and wash as usual. DO NOT throw them into the dryer until you've verified that all of the grease came out in the 1st washing! If not, repeat the above with the GOJO and the toothbrush. Should work great for you!

I sympathize with you. Things happen like that. A SPLASH of MOTOR oil, will take some work. First, if you have any hairspray spary the entire area, then do a pre-soak with Dawn dish washing liquid.Really work it in good, and soak them in the hottest water you can for about an hour. Then wash with Laundry Detergent & Bleach.
If all fails and your clothes are clean, dye them a khaki color.

Try Dawn dishwashing detergent for the oil. Let it sit for awhile. Then soak it in some OxyClean if there is still a colored stain. It make take a couple washings after that, which is OK, but don't put it in the dryer until it's gone!

there remains wish left on your garment. hopefully, you probably did not positioned it in the dryer. warmth is what helps set stains in garment. what variety of fabrics is it? counting on the fabrics, dry cleansing ought to be the appropriate technique. Dry cleansing is tremendous for eliminating oil depending stains, considering that dry sparkling solvents aren't any further water depending. Take it to the dry cleanser, tell them about the stain, and counting on the fabrics, they are going to allow you to recognize the probability of eliminating it.

Bleach might work, and maybe dishwashing soap to cut the grease. Good luck - you'll need it.
