Lawyers do not charge you based upon the charges against a person. Ethically, they are only allowed to charge you for the work the do. A lawyers fee is usually based upon their expiernence and the market value for a lawyer in your area. Then the charge you by the hour. A few states do allow for one price representation on simple matters. But you would be stuck to pay for those charges regardless of the out come.

Yep, the lawyer took the case with three charges and it is then assumed that the plea was entered into while the lawyer was employed by the accused and had he not been, it is just as well assumed that three charges would remain had he not assisted with the plea.
