Pirates 3 was going to open in December this year but due to the hurricanes last year they had to stop filming. So now we have to wait until Summer '07.

He didn`t die he just went into the belly of the beast,you forget,
mate,he`s Captain Jack Sparrow!!!!!
By the way,did you stay till the end?I mean after the credits to see the surprise FINAL scene??Just like the first one,there`s a scene at the end after the credits!!!!!If you have the dvd of the first one,ff thru the credits to see the final scene.

I think there is going to be Pirates III, who's with me? Jack cannot be dead, he will live inside the monster somehow and blow the ugly thing off from the inside. Remember this is a somewhat magical kind of movies, anything can happen.

No, I wasn't surprised; it makes the series all the more reminiscent of the "Back to the Future" series when movie #2 ends with an apparent loss of a lead character. It makes you want to see movie #3 to find out how the lead character is recovered.

Very surprising. I don't think he's dead. He might be living inside that squid monster thing and that is how they are going to get him back. I'm also very surprised because Jack Sparrow and that girl feel in love. That's a big shocker.

To answer your question it didn't suprise me because I knew Elizabeth was a two timer... I liked the movie a lot though.

If you stayed during the credits of the first Pirates you'll know that nothing is what it seems. Don't be surprised to see him again in PoC 3.

no because in the next movie they'll have them "sail to the end of the world" or whatever to resurrect him. They couldn't really kill him off, he's half the reson people keep turning up for those movies.
