she has emotional problems. She came over our house and said she had bugs/mice in her apt. We felt sorry for her so we let her sleep in my daughter's room. She is in love w/ my husbands brother...who is rejecting her. I feel she took it out on our family by crying rape. Hubby had Miranda rights read to him, but wouldn't interview w/o an attorney. We haven't heard from the police since. We are scared to ask questions of police at this point. We are devestated that our "church friend" is doing this to us! It is documented that she has been in psych crisis just prior to her claim, but from what I know, it won't count! Help!

Women don't "cry rape". It's certainly rare.

In fact for most women, admitting to the fact of rape can be quite a struggle.

It took your friend 3 weeks to get over her fear that she wouldn't be believed, that you would reject her cry for help.

Three weeks ago your friend was raped by your husband.

What will happen now is that either you will continue in this state of denial, or you will divorce him and support your friend.

The choice you make will say a lot about the kind of woman, the kind of human being you are.

Step up, lady. Step up.

Keep close to your husband and don't you falter! Pray. For her and your family. It's truly sad. Her emotional state will come out in trial. So, there is likely nothing for you to worry about.

No matter the outcome, keep your head high and stand by your man. People - especially feminists - are CRAZY for that kind of drama.

Best wishes for a favorable outcome!

Well, a false charge of rape is inherently defamation of
character - however, you may want to go easy on her
if she has psychological problems.

It is perfectly reasonable to ask the police if they are going
to pursue this or if you can get on with your lives.

That she has anything to do with any church you may or may
not have attended really isn't the point, is it?

If it is true then they can do a check on her body for semen or any of his DNA. I hope it is not true and wish you all luck but at the same time, most of the time it is the people who you dont think will do these type of things to you that will. I know it has happened to me and the guy was put in jail for a very long time.

How can she prove that he raped her? Was your daughter there that night too? That is just crazy..........if it was me, I would go to church and stand up and ask people to pray for my family and the situation that specific person put you in, right in front of everyone that goes there. Other than that I can't help you as far as legalities. Good Luck though!

Her past doesn't count in court, but evidence does. If there was no rape, there is no evidence. He said, She said, cases are too difficult to prosicute. The DA is weighing her past to determine whether to go to court. Your attorney should be finding out where your husband stands, it's his job.

there has to be proof, like tearing , seman, and even then, the cops gotta ask themselves, why would a married man rape a woman with his wife in the same house. and why wouldnt she have screamed? why did the wife here nothing, she is obviously hurting a great deal, and want you family to suffer.it will get dropped, trust me

Honestly it seems like the police aren't planning to do much. If they legitimately believed her story, your husband would be in jail right now.
