I want to find out how common are these alternative method of working. My company doesn't want to give us a 10hr, 4 days a week. Am I in the minority of people who work regular 8 hrs 5 days week?

No, you're not in the minority. I'm actually going to be working
8:30 to 5:30 next week (new job). I have an hour break so I'll be working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.

As a teacher I felt like I worked 24/7; however, in reality the contract was for 185 days/year + professional development hours.

Now I work from home via the Internet. I set my own hours, but I also don't make the same money I made as a teacher, either.
