Not all homosexuals and lesbians are like this, I think the ones that are are simply trying in their way to make a statement about themselves,it's possible that deep down they feel a little insecure.

First of all, that's just stereo typing. Second, gender roles are soooo stupid and unnecessary. They are what make adolescent boys turn into sexist, violent, over achieving sh!t heads, and adolescent girls become bulimic, self absorbed, ignorant b!*ches. As for your actual question, you generalize too much, I am a lesbian who gets hit on by men 60 times more than women, sometimes even in the gay clubs. I'm very, very femme. I am a true "girly girl".

God most gay people are so rude. Here this person is asking a very good question and all most of these people can do is bash him.
Look ast all the hate and violence from the GLBT community. It's no wonder people hate us so moch. Most of you that answered shold be ashamed of yourselves!
This person wants to know why some gays act the way they do. It is a very good question and everytime is comes up the majority of the GLBT community bashes the person that askes it.
Grow up people. You want people to be more understanding of us but when someone askes a question we pound on them and never answer it!

These are just sterotypes. Not all gay men act feminine, in fact many gay men are more manly and straight acting rather then girly and as for lesbians they do act like women also. So the sterotypes just need to be dropped.

OK, that does happen, but it's about being comfortable in your own skin, not how you look or act to others. OMG biwashington19, are you insane or just completely daft? There really were only a few "bashing" responses to this question. Most of them were straight forward and didn't seem to be intentionally rude, especially Randy W, and NoBoysAllowed, kudos to the two of you.

That is just a stereotype, and those are the only ones you know are gay. The vast majority of us are normal people and you wouldn't even know we were gay unless you came up and asked us. Yes some couples end up having one who plays more butch and one who plays more fem....but it's the same in hetero relationships, and women and men in straight relationships don't necessarily play their appropriate role. My gal pal is in a relationship right now and she acts way more like a man would in a relationship and her boyfriend acts like a chick. People are who they are, don't over generalize.

that's sterotyping first of all. And second, that doesn't cover all gay people. Just like all staight males aren't athletes, abercrombie model types. And all straight females aren't airhead wanna be models that have their weight in makeup.

Why do you feel the need to stereotype homosexuals.
Most of us are great actors and you would never know we are gay or bisexual.

I am gay and you are right, it does look stupid. I think it is because these people repressed who they were for fear of reprisal. Now they if you will are taking their weakness and turning it into a strength.

That is somewhat of a stereo type, all are not like that, all don't do that, the ones that do really, really want to be the other sex.
