With all the destruction in the Middle East, God says a political leader will be raised up who will bring world peace--but it will be false peace bec after 3 and a half years of peace, the leader will force pple to worship him and kill those who don't.
I despise when pple say the antichrist is George Bush because the bible says that the antichrist will be someone who everyone loves. In this case, not everyone loves George Bush so it is impossible for him to be the antichrist. The antichrist will be loved by many. pple will be deceived.
The Bible clearly states the things that need to happen before the return of Christ. One of those things is many wars and rumors of wars, many earthquakes and rumors--also the same with floods and other weather related things.
The bible also says that the temple will be rebuilt first and when it is, that will be a sign that Christ will come soon.
I don't play date setting games but I believe we are close and I believe in the pretribulational rapture

No. The book of Revelation is not to be taken literally. It was written for those during that time to understand what was to happen "soon" and "quickly" and they did. When Jesus is talking in Matthew 24, he says, "there will be some of you who will not taste death until they see the son of Man." The context of Matthew 24 is about the destruction of Jerusalem that took place in AD 70. You can't read all of Matthew 24 and not see that Christ "returned" after the destruction of Jerusalem. A spiritual return not a physical one. There will be no Armageddon, no Anti-Christ (there were many anti-christs around during the apostles' time, read their letters), no Rapture. When we die, we are judged right then and go to either Heaven or the Lake of Fire. Satan was destroyed at Christ's return. What evil exists now is made by man. God has given man free will. So live according to the way Christ lived and you will always be ready to meet him. You will make mistakes but you are forgiven.

Most of the events cited as preludes for the Rapture have been around for thousands and thousands of years. Predictably enough, people have been claiming that the world is about to end for thousands and thousands of years, too. The number of religious scholars who expected the rapture to occur in their lifetime is almost without number. Thus, it would be reasonable even for a person of faith to conclude that perhaps these evidences are not so strong as they would seem.
Let us not forget also the number of other things listed in the bible as preludes which have not occurred at all yet. What of the 'mark of the beast' which every man will be required to carry on his hand or his forehead in order to conduct any kind of business? Even if you attribute various technological devices to this mark they are hardly so universal that they are required for business.
So just keep waiting, if that's what you're waiting for. But if you ask me, any person's efforts would be far better spent on trying to make the world a better place than worrying about when (or if) it will end.

No, I don't. Furthermore, you shouldn't take the Bible so literally, it was never meant to be read that way. Biblical literalism is a relatively new thing, only coming about within the last 90 years or so. Before that, everyone understood that the Bible is a book written by a certain people about their experiences with life and with their creator. It was NEVER meant to be taken literally in this way.

Yes, most biblical scholars agree that we are in the period that the bible describes in the book of revelation, but "the end times" could be a million years long. I like the way one priest put it... Heaven forbid, but anyone of us could get into a car today and not make it to where we were going. That would make today judgement day for us. We should all do our best to live everyday like that...

If your assumption is correct then who is the anti-Christ? I think that everyone dislikes everyone else equally. Even the nicest person, with the best intentions will have plenty of enemies.
No, I don't think it is coming yet, but no one will know when it is going to happen. Right?

I don't think we need supernatural forces to make the end of the world come about. We humans seem capable of wrecking things on our own.
