6/(7 + 2i) ::: multiply with conjugate of the denominator

[6*(7-2i)] / [(7 + 2i)*(7 - 2i)]
... = [42 - 12i] / [49 + 4]
... = 42/53 - 12/53 i

and for the second problem --- Quickmath was right

Yes m=plus or minus 5 for the second problem.

For the first one, multiply the top and the bottom with the conjugate 7-21 and you get 6(7-2i)/53 and leave it as that because you can't reduce it further.

6 / 7 + 2i
multiply by conjugate of 7 + 2i that is 7 - 2i
thus we get, 6 (7-2i) / (7+2i)(7-2i)
42 - 12i / (49 - 4 i ^2)
42 - 12i / 53
that is 42/53 - 12i/53

second question..
m = +5 ,- 5

6/(7 + 2i)
(6(7 - 2i))/((7 + 2i)(7 - 2i))
(6(7 - 2i))/(49 - 4i^2)
(6(7 - 2i))/(49 - 4(-1))
(6(7 - 2i))/(49 + 5)
(6(7 - 2i))/(54)
(7 - 2i)/9

-------------------------------------

m^2 = 25
m = 5 or -5
