Osama Bin Ladin, to all his credit, is part of the problem. His founding of the terrorist group, has threads that spread everywhere. From his harvesting of poppies to make opium, to sell for drugs, and his unending supply of poor, desperate kids to turn into walking bombs, they guy is a monster.
What's ironic though, is it doesn't stop there.
People from all over the world work with him. Sleeper cells, like the ones that bombed London, New York, and even Spain, wait for their time to die, not caring how developed these countries are...they've been brainwashed, by years of hate indoctrination, to hate the great satan..similar, to what Iran has chanted for years, as well, against Israel.
Money also flows in, from other sources...mosques, in other countries, hiding behind what they claim, are religious freedoms, are a facade, for the truth, of plans, for thier own good.
Don't get me wrong, there are some Muslims that are good out there....they are the ones, that dont make waves....the others, are on the news.

Don't know who is actually responsible.
Bin Laden has claimed responsibility.
Ultimately, however, Bush, NORAD, and the rest of the people who didn't do their jobs on and before 9-11 are responsible. I still want to know why the Air Force fighter pilots were told to stand down after the first plane went into the WTC and others were known to be hijacked. It is standard policy, as soon as a plane is hijacked, to give it a military escort, much less after one has already crashed...

God gave us that day and we pray... one of 365.
Kidding.... We know who is responsible, it was the terrorists. But I think what caused them doing such behaviour could be something more complicated. (for example, you don't know if there is any under-table talk between Bush and the terrorists, but failed....etc.)
Oh BTW, Who do you think is responsible for Seven Eleven???

Ultimately, We are.
We have created the situation ("enemies") with horrible foreign policy since WW2. You really can't blame these guys, we have been meddleing in their countries for 60yrs. And now, due to our dependence on oil we are funding them also. Really screwed up situation
