I might express my life in a landscape where the sky is blue, but in the background you see evidence of a storm approaching. There is always a storm approaching in life. You just have to get out your umbrella and wait for the sun to come out again. Rolling hills would represent the ups and downs in life. Daisies growing on the hills tell of happy times and express how new life is seeded. A giant oak tree in the foreground would stand for the strength inside all of us and remind us how far the tiny acorn has come. The tombstone under the tree would reflect the urgency to live life to the fullest--now. A child running by with a kite in the foreground is the child in all of us, playful and curious about life, a reminder of how far I've come.

It would probably be like a lake symbolizing how far I've come in life and how far I have yet to go. The water would symbolize the uneasiness live can bring you and the lake would turn off in the distance, splitting two ways symbolizing the struggles life brings and all the choices you have to make everyday. I haven't done anything drastically wrong in my life that would bring really dreary and depressing colors in, however, I would have some really dark blue in there for the tough times (though I can usually get through them). The other colors would include a navy blue for the water, a forest green for the shrubs and trees, and a light baby blue for the sky. The sun would be a golden yellow mixed with a tiny bit of yellow, the sand would be a gray mixed with a tope color. There would have to be wind rocking the trees because you never know what the next day will bring you. You just confront it as you go, not really knowing what will happen next. My life isn't sad or depressing most of the time, but I have my tough times. I can be fun and energetic; I always like to have a good time and I'm trying to find my purpose in life, so I guess the darker colors all symbolize the dark times, the uneasiness, and the uncertainty life brings. When I finish my watercolor, my ideal painting would be a scene of Hawaii.

The canvas would have started out with a simple watercolor wash and then, since recent years I've tried new things, it would have many textures and shapes on it. It would have straight lines, for the values I posses with are unchanging, and it would also have curving ones which stand for change. It would be colorful as life is, but have a lot of black for I am into 'dark' things.
But through all the mess of lines and textures, I can still make out the face of God which I started my life anew with.
And I am not sure how this painting will turn out yet. I may erase some of the pencil marks, some of the little things in my life that pass in time, but there are also some stronger black ink lines which I won't be able to erase so easily if I find I do not want them in my life.
But an unfinished painting is always much different than the finished piece. :)

Dark and Sad of Blue or Black I wear. I want to get into bright colors. So many people have died and I need to let go and move on. So I kind of go with what others try to throw at me. I have thrown out clothes and I think the brights will come back. I feel its a good like life and could be better. Its a sort of the past and now a chance to be refreshed and new. I blame others pit of stuff they did. I kind of want a 2nd chance and I waited up until everyone got out of the way. So I didnt ruin my life or run it too fast. I took my time and now my time has come... Empty Nest!

A Picasso from his blue period, then later a Picasso from his Cubist period. First slightly depressed and feeling worthless, then feeling like life is chaotic and disastrous, but all in black and white like in Guernica.

Hopefully, the canvas will allow me to do something similar to his Rose period. Where everything is cheery and not chaotic.

I guess if you looked at it - it would be so abstract it wouldn't make a lot of sense!
I think the colours would be most important though. Dark colours when I was going through bad times through the rainbow spectrum to the bright colours of my happier moments!
I guess each person's "pattern of life" is unique to that individual!!
At the end of the day I like just being me!
