I can't stand the way celebrities are put on a pedestal, but I know there are people out there who are obsessed with them. Who are you crazy about and WHY?

I just find it hilarious when magazines are like "Mariah Carey walks her dog" or "Brad and Angelina walk on the beach." It's like COME ON!!! aaaggghhhh

I wouldn't say I'm obsessed with any one celebrity, though I heavily admire Scott Weiland. Anyway here's why people can get so obsessed: it's because we live in an age of information and paparazzi stalking fiends. Celebrities are the ideals of our culture, thus if we feel connected we feel important. I may admire a few actors, actresses, singers, rock stars, etc. but I don't usually care enough to know EVERY single detail. For example I may know Scott Weiland's birthday, but I still don't know his favorite color, hair product, if he has pets or if he's had plastic surgery. There's a line and now, it's a lot easier to cross.

i used to be obsessed with Eminem. i still am a very big fan of his music but, i grew out of the obsession.
