I am sorry to know that you are suffering. As per your symptoms, you are suffering from a disorder named Calcaria Spur. There is no medicine or cure available with Orthopaedic surgeon for this disorder. There is a extra growth of bone at the ankles. You must practise toe and heal raising exercise daily and also go for hot water fomentation adding some salt and lemon juice into the hot water. Please take one tablet of Rumalaya Forte (By Himalaya Herbal Health Care, India) twice a day until you get relief from your disorder. Take care and be in good health.

Hi Edd, I'm an old codger too, and have had the same prob in the past,it's a spur of bone growth, comes with a nasty reminder of seniority and athritis, but fear not, do some gentle toe and heal raising excercises and also try a little herbal tea(jasmine or marigold) and anti-inflamatory medication, your doc should be able to help here. good luck

You may be getting a little arthritis in your ankle joints. Which is totally normal for your age. Walking will help the stiffness, and you can try taking an anti-inflammatory like IB profen. But you should really go see a doctor if it gets worse.
