I want to make the jump from serious poker player to a touring pro. Any suggestions? I know I am good enough.?

This is how to do it judge your skill level in the process. Start playing online. First start with free tournaments. Judge your progess. Then start with 5$ entry tournaments. Judge your progess. Then move to the $10 dollar buy in tournments. If you are winning, move up to the $20 dollar tournments... There is a huge jump in skill of player from the $5 tournment to the $20 tournment. If you find you are making money at the 20s take your winnings to the $50 dollar entry fee tourneys.. I play at the $50...there is a huge jump in talent from $20 to $50 so I mostly play 20s to win money to get into the $50s ....If you are good enough, keep this formula going up the scale to the games where the prize is a seat at WSOP.. .there are hundreds of poker sites, but partypoker and pokerroom are probably the biggest. If you are good enough, just stay focused and keep trying to get just a lil bit better. Always make sure to keep a heavy bankroll!!! Too many pro's get broke from being careless with their bankroll. Design a creative plan to keep your road expenses small, it can add up quickly if you aren't careful. Take time out to get exercise and drop in on your family from time to time if you have any.

Look for cheap motels down the road from the poker room, casinos with poker rooms charge too much to stay in all the time. Of course you will be able to afford it probably, but why waste a ton of money when it's not necassary. You can work out deals with a lot of hotels to get rooms for like 30 dollars a night if you stay for a week. Don't be afraid to try and negoatiate a hotel price! They want your business.

It will be sort of a rough way to make it, but best of luck to you.
