Now, that I am 19 years old, I have friends that are my age and others of all ages. Recently, since I'm working now, I have guy friends that range from 28 to 35. We get along great. I like hanging out with them and I also have learned a lot from them. However, I am starting to feel more self- conscious when I hang out with my other friend who is 35. He is really attractive and looks really young, but I don't know why I fear that when he is older he will look older, start graying, and I feel like people my age will start to ask me why are u hanging out with middle-aged men. I feel like they are going to tell me that I should hang out with people around my own age? I know that it is not normal that I feel that way and I shouldnt care about what people think, but why am I feeling this way? Anyone can have friends of all ages, right?

It is normal, I'm like your older friend, and I'm even older.
I have a few much younger friends, and we get along great. It's not a romantic friendship, just platonic. But we get together foir dinner, lunch, special occasions.
Don't let other people run your life. We only have one life to lead, and it's up to us, to do it the best we can.
Remember, it's how you feel with your friends that counts, and how you and they, enjoy each other.
Believe me, most people don't give a darn, about other people, and what they do.
It's mostly in your own mind. Think about it, have you ever given thought to some couple you've seen, saying she's too pretty for him, or too young, etc. Maybe, it's flashed in your mind. But did yoiu tell them that, I bet not. And they had no idea, that you had thought those thoughts.
So just relax, and enjoy your older friends. One other thing, you said, you picture them getting older, which will happen, but remember, you will be getting older too, so the age difference won't change.

You can have FRIENDS of all ages. But I would not suggest you have a boyfriend 35 when you are only 19.

Ask yourself whose opinion you really care about. Yours or the 90% of the world who don't even know who you are, much more what you're about.

Just make sure your older friends are truly friends and not men looking for an ego boost....or otherwise.
