o man that really really sux....i have no luck removing ink from clothing..so i dont know how much luck you would have removing it from a sofa...did u get that insurance crap when they sell the sofa to you? if u did u can call them and they'lll replace it for you i think. \
but...You can try:
-Avon's Skin So Soft
-Or HAIRSPRAY....spray it on a piece of cloth and rub it over
- or 70% isopropanol solution

you can also check this website out:
http://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/LeatherInkRemover.htm

**I think hairspray will work best...but always try it on the bakc of the sofa, so if the sofa gets screwed up even more because of the hairspray..dont blame it on me! lol
good luck

Alcohol is your best bet, hairspray (the cheaper the better) will also work since it has an alcohol vehicle in it. If that doesn't work call in a pro, they should have something that consumers can't get that will work. After you clean it you will want to recondition the leather to seal the surface and rehydrate the leather.

THEN BY YOUR SON SOME COLORING BOOKS AND HIDE ALL THE PENS.

Try rubbing alcohol. If that doesn't work get a product called Goo Gone. That should get the pen marks off. If it's marker, pray it's not a sharpie pen. That stuff never comes out of anything!

hair spray may do the trick. I would call a leather reuphostery place and ask them what they would use. Alcohol and that that goo be gone may be too strong and damage your leather on your couch. I hope your son didn`t use a magic indebible marker!!

Really take your coat to a dry cleaner and take the pen with you. They may be able to get it out if they know exactly what kind of ink was used.

goo gone. Goof off is really too strong and will damage the leather. It's mostly lighter fluid. However, goo gone is a citrus based product, and it works really well. It also removed adhesive from bandages
