I was 16, I got a Camaro and yes it is what I wanted - but my dad took it away a year later!

I'll never forget it. My grandfather inherited the neighbor's car and gave it to me. I was 17 and driving around in a brown, 1970 Ford Torino. It was a boat and here I am at 5 feet and cant see over the steering wheel so I had to get what my mom called "wedgie seats" . they were the shape of wedges and I sat on one and the other pushed my back foward. However, It had 8 cylinders and was fast. I dragged my friend and blew away his cute little Fiero.

Was more interested in getting something that ran and that was reliable. What it was really did not really matter as long as it looked like a normal car. Also needed to be economical to run, as I did not have much money.

Yeah, because I saved up and bought it with my money!
By the way it was a 1970 Chevelle and it was the fastest car on Main st.

I bought my first car (a small van) forty years ago for £40 ($55). It was fantastic. I painted it blue with ordinary paint and people called it the 'Blue Tornado'. Myself and four or five others would go down the coast in it fishing. I sold it three years later for the same money. 8149 UR was the index mark.................... great memory - thank you..............

My first car was a 68' dodge truck. I hated it at the time, but it would be kind of cool to have now.

My first car was a 90 chevy cavalier. I had to buy it myself. I got it from a coworker of mine. He sold itto me for $1000.00. I think i got a pretty good price. I was 18! If your parents bought you a car,.. you should be greatfull.
