The real question is, "Why were these 'peace keepers' still doing there? The UN peacekeepers are abject failures. The initial Hezbollah assault that triggered this whole thing occurred in plain sight of UN 'peacekeepers' and they never bothered to try and stop it or even warn the Israelis what was coming. They had 2 weeks to get out..and Hezbollah had been firing rockets less than 100 yards from the building (again without any intervention by the 'peacekeepers'). Kofi Annan is to blame. He personally ordered that they stay at their posts even when they had nothing to do...and when the did have something to do were totally ineffective.

Bottom line...UN and BBC, among most others, are quite biased against Israel. So why believe them at all.

Secondly the terrorist are those like, Hezbollal, Hamas, and the PLO, who choose entire distruction of a united states of america! those 3 communities stated that the merely way there'll ever be peace is at the same time as there aren't any Jews left! I am neither pro Israel or pro Arab and I think we should get the facts straight before saying that someone did something deliberatley. It is very hard or nearly impossible to prove someone's intention. It could be a mistake, breakdown in communication or poor intelligence. Sometimes guerilla fighters like Hazbollah purposedly hide near hospitals, civilian building so as to avoid getting shelled. It's a dirty tactic. Perhaps Hazbollah lured IDF into shelling the UN post to try and get international attention. Let's wait and find out more before makeing judgement.

What i wann know is why Israel using expensive and precise weapons hit that target. The UN observers notified the Israelie army 10 times, but yet they still hit the target. It is such a shame!! Israel should have used their troops first rather than air strikes.

I, personally was not shocked. They do not want anyone there watching the actual atrocities and reporting it unbiasedly to the rest of the world. That would mess up the whole PR plot they have going on. This was a warning to the rest of the world to stay out of their way. I have the added benefit of knowing an American journalist personally who is there right now. What he reports on television is so much different than what he tells me personally. You would be shocked to know the truth. Israel is out of control and needs to be stopped.

You use the word "deliberately" rather caveately. They did not kill them deliberately no more than the Isreali soldiers deliberately killed some of their own. In the time of war, shi- happens. believe me. I was in Nam and I saw an awful lot of that crap. There was even a LOT of fragging. No idea what that word means???? Look it up. when you are acting as a spotter for the rockets then you become a target. Annan was getting paid to let Hezbollah use the tower for spotting telemetry for the rockets
